The Institute for Life Science Entrepreneurship (ILSE) is a regional research integrator, accelerator and incubator bringing together basic researchers and clinical scientists from academia with applied scientists, entrepreneurs and business leaders possessing R&D and business experience. Together, the goal is to facilitate the translation of early innovation into successful healthcare solutions.

The McGovern Center is designed to develop young Cornell life science companies. The Center’s program focuses on accelerating research/development of its client companies’ technology/products, validating its client companies’ business plans, and strengthening its client companies’ management teams. The Center’s goal is to facilitate the forward progress of client companies to the point at which each will merit significant outside investment, and achieve self-sufficiency.

A new business incubator that offers entrepreneurs a place to grow their business, providing access to expert advice and business development at an accelerated pace. Our purpose is to give new businesses a leg up, help them grow, and set permanent roots in the community.

It’s a place where entrepreneurs can launch and grow their startup businesses. It’s a place where people interested in startups can go and participate in events to learn more about what’s happening in the business community. It’s a focal point for people from inside and outside the area who have an interest in what’s going on in the startup scene in Ithaca and Tompkins County.
