PowerBridgeNY Information Session
September 11, 2013 - 2:00pm - 3:00pm
Open to: The Cornell community.
PowerBridgeNY is a new proof-of-concept center for clean energy technologies. With $10M in funding by NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority), PowerBridgeNY is a collaborative effort between Columbia University, Cornell University, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Stony Brook University, New York University (NYU), Polytechnic Institute of NYU, and the City University of New York.
PowerBridgeNY will provide support to project teams from these institutions to help commercialize promising clean energy technologies, either via the formation of a start-up or by licensing the technology to an existing company. This support may include providing funding of up to approximately $150K for research validation and prototype development; active mentoring from industry veterans and venture investors; project management assistance; competitive landscaping; business plan development; and more.
