Attendess joined Kate Rochlin, Founder and CSO of Immunovent LLC, a Cornell startup, as she discussed her transition from her PhD at Weill Cornell to leading a startup. Rochlin talked about the beginnings of getting involved in a startup, the decision to leave academia, NYC based programs for those interested in Entrepreneurship, and the challenges and rewards of being involved in a startup.

Immunovent LLC is focused on the commercialization of next-generation technologies for allergy diagnosis. The company is developing the Local Allergy Mucosal Brush Test (LAMB-Dx), the first quantitative needle-free allergy diagnostic that will enable physicians to accurately test for both airborne and food allergies precisely where the clinical symptoms are occurring - in the mouth and nose.
